20.12.2012 Opening the winter parcel from Romania

We have finally opened the winter parcel sent to us from the Romanian team. We were amazed by the  beautiful presents. We loved the bag, the cards, the herbs, the nuts and sweets. Thank you for writing about your winter traditions as well, we could learn a lot! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :)

11.12.2012 Winter parcel

This week we finally finished completing the gifts for the Greek team, packed everything in the winter parcel and sent the goods to the Greek school.

Girls worked very hard making the Christmas cards with beautiful wishes.

First meeting in Trebisacce, Italy

Last week we could meet the other students from  the Comenius project for the first time in Trebisacce. It is a town in the south of Italy with wonderful atmosphere and breathtaking views. Angelika, Ola and Martyna could meet a lot of interesting students from Italy, Hungary, Turkey, Spain, Greece and Romania. They presented some information about Poland, Zabrze and our school as well as Polish folk music. They learned about other countries. They had an occasion to try the traditional Italian meals. We hope that we would meet again soon!

A short day in Rome

20.11.2012 Italian Day

On 20th November, just a few days before first Comenius meeting in Italy, there was an Italian Day organized in our school. We could learn the basic words and phrases in Italian. The students from class 5 presented a show about Italy.

Angelika, Ola and Martyna showed us their presentation about Italy. 

We could try some Italian products either bought in the school shop or cooked by the students. 

Finally, we chose the best door decoration and the Italian colours costume.

19.10.2012 Comenius Night

 On 19th October there was a Comenius Night organised in our school. We started with a bonfire. Then we had a quick board games round, followed by a game of dodgeball. We had a delicious pizza.

The teachers checked how much we know about Europe giving us a short quiz.

Finally, we watched some films showing us Greece and Italy.
